BytePro Enterprise

The BytePro Enterprise system is composed of two parts: a central server that hosts the SQL Server database, and any number of client PCs that access the database. System requirements for both the server and client computers are listed below.

BytePro Enterprise Server Requirements

  • Server Operating System: Windows Server 2022 and earlier, subject to our Microsoft software lifecycle policy.
  • SQL Server: Microsoft SQL Server 2022 and earlier, subject to our Microsoft software lifecycle policy. All editions are supported, including the Express editions.
  • Server requirements vary considerably based on the version of SQL Server and the operating system. See the Microsoft website for specifications. You may also contact us for more information.
  • As a general rule, the amount of space required for the SQL database is 50 MB plus 250 KB per loan file. For instance, 1000 loan files would require approximately 50 MB + (250 KB * 1000) = 300 MB of space on the server. Additional space is required for document storage (paystubs, tax returns, appraisals, closing documents, etc).

BytePro Enterprise Client PC Requirements

  • Operating System: Windows 11 or Windows 10, subject to our Microsoft software lifecycle policy.
  • Browser: Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
  • Microsoft .NET framework 4.8.
  • Monitor Resolution: 1024 x 768 or higher.
  • RAM: 8 GB.

Microsoft Software Lifecycle Policy

Byte Software’s security posture prevents us from testing our products on Microsoft software that is no longer supported by Microsoft, therefore we do not support Microsoft products that have reached the end of their lifecycle. The table below lists the dates on which both Microsoft and Byte will end support for various versions of SQL Server and Windows. The Byte Software End of Support Date is earlier than the Microsoft End of Support Date which gives us time to ensure that all unsupported software is removed from our systems. Microsoft lists the end of life dates for their products here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/.
